I thought I would repost this blog. I have been working with some trying people this week, and the thought that crossed my mind is ‘gosh, ego really drives some people’! If people let go, trust in people and just show some good ole fashioned kindness, the flow happens with your work and with the people around you. So get your kindness mojo on this next week and have a read below for some inspiration.
Kindness is like ‘how u doing’ ‘let me help with that’ or it’s just simply about doing good stuff for people! It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are, how busy you are or what you have going on in your own life; the thing about kindness is its free! And it increases the feel good endorphins or energy for all…
I have been doing some reading this week on people and the internal hurts they carry. We often get so caught up in this internal hurt, that it becomes our main focus, then we start manifesting in the pain associated with the hurt, so giving it more and more energy, and more and more focus, that we forget anything positive that might be occurring, and of course the more energy we give the hurt the bigger it becomes till it consumes you. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) they would call this an imbalance of the Yin and Yang Qi (energy). I am in my very early stages of learning and understanding the principles and philosophy behind TCM, but I must say in all that I have read, the concept of internal energy flow really resonates with me.
I have a belief of where you send your energy, your focus then that will come to be. So if you spend your time thinking I am hurt or I am poor or I am broke then it will be so, because that is where you are sending your thoughts and your energy. If you have an internal belief of I am happy, I am healthy, I am successful then it will be so.
In life things happen, we do things, some we wish we had never done, some we wish we could replay millions of times over. We each have our unique experiences that makes us who we are, it builds our character, our resilience, so don’t go wishing something away. Instead be there with it, acknowledge the feeling that you are trying to suppress, face head on the thing that keeps you tossing and turning at night, look internally inside and ask yourself am I trying to control something or someone that I shouldn’t be? Am I operating from my ego space? Is my internal energy balanced? Are my thoughts or actions coming from a place of balance, or a place of fear? Why am I allowing this feeling or thought to have such control over me?
We each have a choice, and your mind will go as far as you like with a thought or a feeling if you keep feeding it energy, and at the end of the day it is just a feeling, or a thought that you have the choice to control, just like you have the choice to switch the channel with a TV remote, so to do you have the choice to change what you choose to focus your energy on.
So get that fire in your belly, get that positive energy roaring through and get out there and do some positive bad ass kindness!
